How does it work?
A reverse-cycle AC doesn’t generate heat from scratch. It moves it. Using refrigerant technology, it extracts warmth from outside air and transfers it inside. For every 1 unit of electricity consumed, a modern heat pump delivers 3 to 4 units of heat. A gas boiler can only deliver less than 1 unit of heat per unit of fuel burned.
